Reduce Hair Loss With These Easy Tips
I’ll be honest and say that I have very thin hair and I often find that my hair gets caught in my comb very often. It pretty much gets everywhere on the floor and I always have to clean up after myself. Studies have shown that while all women experience hair shedding, the rate at which it sheds is very much dependent on genetics.
While you can’t control your genetics, you can practice some things to reduce the number of hair loss on a daily basis.
No Tight Hair-ties
If you have long hair, avoid using tight rubber bands to put your hair up into a bun or ponytail. Choose instead to use a loose scrunchie, barrette or jaw clip. The less tension on your hair, the less likely they will be dislodged from their roots.
Use a Big Tooth Comb
The larger the space between the combs, the better. Combing your hair with one of these combs means that less hair will be pulled out. This is as opposed to using a hairbrush, which might cause more pull on your hair.
Drying Your Hair the Right Way
When using a towel to dry your hair, it’s important not to pull downwards. Instead, dab your hair with the towel and push the towel towards the top of your head.
Remember that living a healthy lifestyle will help your hair thrive. Stress and fatigue make hair loss worse, so you should try and manage your difficulties as best you can.
