Women in Your 30s: How to Care for Your Hair
For any woman that has reached their 30s, it’s not easy admitting that you’re getting older. It isn’t easy for me, and I’ve just hit 35 this year. Suddenly, you realize things about your body that wasn’t there before. Your skin becomes saggy around your eyes, and flecks of grey start to appear on your hair.
When you reach your 30s, chances are that you will have more commitments. It’s at this time that your children are young and you probably have to contribute to the household income in a bigger way. There are loans and bills to pay, which means you have less time for yourself. It’s at this stage too that women often don’t have much time to take care of their health and their appearance.
Quick Grooming Tips
This is the time to start going easy on your hair. That means cutting back on chemical and heat treatments like coloring, curling, and straightening. Instead, opt for an easy to maintain cut that optimizes the look of your natural hair shape and the shape of your face.
Since you don’t have much time for yourself, choose a haircut that’s easy to prep in the morning. This will help you look professional and well groomed without needing to spend hours with a curling iron, a straightener or a blow-dryer.
If you want to color your hair, choose colors made of natural dye, rather than artificial ones. Rather than regular styling with heat or chemicals, go for a hair treatment sessions at your local saloon. This treatment will help replenish healthy oils and add to the strength of your hair.
Most importantly, manage your stress well. Stress can really lead to frail and brittle hair that’s dry and unhealthy. It’s time to start showing your hair some self-love when you’re in your 30s.
