A Hair Growth Smoothie Recipe For Everyone
Did you know that you can encourage your own hair to grow by consuming the right foods? I thought I’d try out a recipe that I found online. Certain fruits and vegetables are great for hair growth. I’ve always had trouble with hair loss and I’ve been trying to find a solution for it. If you find a lot of hair on your hairbrush of comb on a daily basis, maybe you can try out this recipe too:
Ingredients:
1/2 cucumber, sliced thickly
One avocado, seed removed. Take only the flesh
2 cups sugarless soybean milk,
Juice of one lemon
1/2 cup walnuts
2 tablespoons of honey
1/2 cup spinach, washed well
1/2 cup water
Method:
Put all the ingredients in a blender, cover the blender and blend on high speed until smooth and well mixed. If the mixture is too thick, add more water. Consume once or twice a week.
Why These Ingredients?
Some ingredients can be switched around. For example, you can replace the soybean milk with unsweetened almond milk. Both of these are very rich in proteins and amino acids which are the building blocks of hair.
Avocado is rich in Niacin that helps blood circulation, which in turn will allow blood to flow to your scalp and keep your hair healthy.
Lemon juice is rich in Vitamin C which can help fight of the growth of certain dandruff causing germs. You can replace lemon juice with orange or lime juice, and even fruits like strawberries, pineapples, papaya or mangoes.
Spinach and cucumbers are also important sources of vitamins and minerals, which are important for making collagen. Collagen in one of the main components of hair and your body produces it daily. Any green vegetables can be used as a substitute, including Bak Choy, celery, kale and the like. Make sure to wash these veggies well as they’re best consumed raw. Raw veggies have a higher content of fibers, minerals and vitamins for your scalp and hair health.
